Dental X-rays are the only way to get a comprehensive evaluation of your pet’s teeth and supporting bones. The majority of your pet’s tooth (root) is hidden under the gum line and cannot be seen by visual inspection.
Digital dental x-rays help us:
- Identify problems such as tooth decay, damage to supporting bones, and the extent of dental injuries such as a broken (fractured) tooth.
- Find crowded or impacted teeth.
- Locate abscesses, cysts, or oral tumors.
- Check on the size and formation of permanent teeth, especially in toy or small dog breeds.
- Develop a treatment plan for more complex dental concerns.
